| What is Midvalley? It is 50 years of worship. It is an imperfect people bowing before a perfect God. It is a son of Hungarian immigrants leaving Chicago to move to Utah to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. It is establishing a church in Murray 50 years ago for the glory of God. It is songs raised in praise to God in a blended worship style combining traditional and contemporary music. It is sermons displaying the wonders of God so people can respond in awe. It is giving an offering to further the work of God. It is families gathering together for devotions. It is confession of sin and experiencing the forgiveness of God. It is individuals talking to God about their needs and seeking to bring honor to God. It is providing voices for the Messiah presentation in Midvale. It is Christmas and Easter programs celebrating the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
What is Midvalley? It is a half-century of learning. It is people hungry for knowledge and application of the Word of God. It is a youth program seeking to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. It is conducting Bible quizzes reinforcing the importance of God's truth. It is a systematic study of the 66 books of the Bible led by a trained pastor-teacher. It is questions and answers about the basic doctrines of the Christian faith. It is Bible studies in homes. It is attending classes on family, worldview, prophecy, and other applications of the Word of God. It is loving training for the family and the church family. It is making use of teachable moments in a home situation. It is preparing the next generation to serve God wherever He may lead. It is equipping 30 lifelong missionaries and 20 others who entered church vocational |

ministry.
It is pastors who continue this ministry in several states. It is a doctor
and educator in Nigeria who train couples one family at a time. It is an
athlete in Kazakhstan sharing her testimony between halves of a basketball
game. It is a Bible translator and his wife in Brazil preparing curriculum in a tribal language. It is a leader in Thailand coordinating ministry to those infected with AIDS. It is training college students to become effective leaders for Christ. It is youth workers passing on the skills they have learned to children and youth in the 21st century. It is disciplining bodies, minds, and souls of men who serve in the military. It is providing literature to meet particular needs. It is cross-cultural training on Native American reservations, in Mexico and in Thailand. It is a professor teaching Hebrew and Greek so students can understand the Bible in its languages.
It is attending seminars where experts share their leadership skills.
What is Midvalley? It is five decades of service. It is people sharing skills, experiences and spiritual gifts to enrich the local church and community. It is providing construction skills and kitchen help, nurses and nurturers, managers and maintenance to Christian camps. It is hosting a baby shower for the Pregnancy Resource Center. It is providing music, message, and mentors for the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake. It is conversation and e-mail with students seeking to learn English. It is conducting a 9/11Anniversary Service honoring the police and firefighters of Midvale. It is providing for people's physical needs through supplies of food and clothing. It is community groups with accountability where individuals may share their deepest needs and thoughts and learn from God's |

word. It is enjoying one another's company at church dinners. It is visiting the sick and comforting the sorrowing. It is making resources available to those lacking them. It is praying for others--asking God to take care of their concerns. It is Christian writers honing their skills before submitting an article for publication.
What is Midvalley? It is a vision for the future. It is in-depth discussions with Bluffdale to determine how building there may best satisfy our mutual needs. It is determining the best
use of our nine acres at 2700 West and 13800 South. It is men and women developing a financial plan and detailed design. It is planning with Dan Cook Associates and Furst Construction how to build "God's way". It is maintaining our focus on worship, learning and service. It is waiting on God and accepting His timing.
